JESUS – IN ARAMAIC
Isho or Eesho
Educated in the Jewish faith and raised in a Galilee family, Jesus regularly spoke Aramaic, the language used by the Jews and used in the different countries under Babylonian rule, such as Syria, Israel, Samaria, and Judea.
His was a version of Aramaic typical of Galilee and somewhat different from the Aramaic spoken in Jerusalem.
