The first part is titled “The Attack.” The three rows show the stable life of a person who unexpectedly finds himself diagnosed with Cancer and the collapse that this causes, dramatically affecting the three main aspects of the individual’s life: Health, Finances, & Home.
The second part, called “The Battle”, represents the person lying on their sickbed, receiving the support that the earthly realm (the rectangle) can offer them; it shows two supporting hands. The first represents the science and technology existing in health institutions, and the other one represents the human support of family members, friends, and the hospital’s staff. But lying there, the sick person understands that he needs a power beyond the earthly. Looking towards the sky, represented here as a circle that has neither beginning nor end, he finds God, who is greater than all his ups and downs. He begs the Almighty for his health, and the Lord starts sending blessings of healing.
The third part, called “The Victory,” shows the individual’s process of recovery, in which he manages to receive a Diagnosis of Remission. This news inspires in his mind the image of a dove as a symbol of FREEDOM from his suffering and HOPE of a new life.
Received as an inspiration from God, I hope this artwork will serve to bring Faith and Courage to patients facing a diagnosis of Cancer.
