JESUS – IN HEBREW

Jesus spoke Hebrew, the language of worship that was read and written by religious elites.

The scribes called him “Rabbi” (teacher) and he used Hebrew not only in prayers and reading the Scriptures, but also when discussing with teachers and scholars in synagogues (Mk 1.21) and in public places (Mt 19.3).
